Job Title:                      Director

Starting Pay:                $6,202 - $7,557/mo. DOE

This position oversees the delivery of Federal, State and local social services programs for San Miguel and Ouray County. Responsibilities include planning, developing, organizing and implementing social service programs and exercising administrative direction and management of staff within the Social Services Departments.

Requirements of the position: Bachelor’s Degree in Social/Behavioral Science, Business, or Public Administration or related field that has included course work in social services. Master’s degree preferred.  Five or more years' experience in social sciences or a related field is required. Advanced degree may substitute for one year of experience.  Previous case worker and child welfare experience preferred. Previous director experience preferred. Must meet the State requirements to become certified as a supervisor through the Child Welfare Training Academy.  Must also possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Colorado driver’s license.

 

Correctional Officer/Emergency Dispatcher - Tellluride, CO
The San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office, outside Telluride, Colorado, is accepting résumés for the dual position of Correctional Officer/Emergency Dispatcher. This is a great opportunity for a career-minded individual. The applicant must possess good typing skills, be able to multi-task, have good written and verbal skills and interact well with the public. Shift work, weekends, and holidays are required.
