San Miguel County Building Official
Starting Pay: $5,619 - $6,679/month DOE
Full-time position inc. benefits pkg.

Supervises and performs professional plan reviews, application approvals, inspections and manages department to maintain a high standard of County building construction. Interprets building requirements and restrictions, performs and coordinates zoning inspections and enforces local zoning regulations. Develops and administers the building department’s budget.
Two to four years of education from an accredited college/university in construction, civil engineering, or a related field. Three to five years’ experience in professional-level building inspection or construction. Certifications as a Building Inspector and Plans Examiner from the ICC. Two to four years supervisory experience and must possess or be able to obtain a Colorado Driver’s License. Building Official Job Description
