Job Title: Property Appraiser I - III
Job Type: Full-time, year-round
Salary: $2,900 – $3,785/month DOE
Closing Date: 2/17/2010
Performs residential, land and mobile home appraisals and data gathering functions used in determining appraisals for ad-valorem purposes, responds to taxpayer inquiries and performs review work necessary to process appeals filed by taxpayers regarding property valuations. Assists and/or performs statistical analysis and market review for hearings and appeals.
Requirements of the position include possession of or the ability to become a registered, licensed or certified appraiser, two or more years experience in construction/appraisal or a related field, ability to apply appraisal theory and valuation, computer experience in Microsoft office programs and a valid driver’s license. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; additional college credit hours are required for certified and licensed appraisers.

Job Title: Correctional Officer/E911 Dispatch
Job Type: Full-time, year-round
Salary: $3,429/month
The San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office, outside Telluride, Colorado, is accepting resumes for a dual position of Correctional Officer/E911 Dispatch. The applicant must possess good typing skills, be able to multi-task, have good written and verbal skills and interact well with the public. Shift work and Holidays are required. SAN MIGUEL COUNTY PROPERTY TAX WORK-OFF PROGRAM
There is an opportunity for Senior Citizens, 60 years of age or older, and disabled individuals, to work off all or a portion of their County property taxes by helping out in a County Department. The deadline to apply is February 14, 2010.
